What this programme comparison covers
Its online BBA page shows different promotional fee blocks. Our comparison uses the published base fee, not an assumed scholarship. Ask for the exact dated offer before payment.
This page brings together the MAJMC route at Chandigarh University, its own fee evidence and the learning questions relevant to this subject. Use the university name and the exact degree title on the admission letter when checking records. A general university approval claim does not establish entitlement for every specialised variant.

Eligibility, subjects & current recognition
Published entry screen: Not published / being verified.
The site has not verified an exact percentage or prior-subject rule for this university-course combination. A rule from another MAJMC provider must not be transferred here. Ask the admissions office to confirm your qualifying award and subject record in writing.
Have your completed qualifying degree, marksheets and prior-subject record ready. A bachelor title such as BLIS can still require a previous degree; the exact institution rule controls. If your result is pending, confirm the provisional-admission conditions and final document deadline rather than assuming final-year status is accepted.

Learning demands & syllabus questions
The following guidance helps you evaluate the MAJMC route. It is not a claimed semester-wise curriculum for Chandigarh University. Ask for the current official syllabus, credits and assessment scheme before relying on any subject list.
Who should consider this route?
MAJMC suits a graduate who wants more demanding reporting, communication research or production work. If you are moving from another discipline, identify what your earlier subject can add to a media beat, such as local business, education or public policy.
How it differs from nearby choices
MA Journalism, MA Mass Communication and MAJMC are not automatically identical awards. Match the official degree title and the compulsory papers. Compare research-heavy and production-heavy curricula by the work you want to do, then check the corresponding fees and practical requirements.
Try the work before paying
Take a publicly documented local issue and design a reported feature with a source plan, interview questions and a correction policy. Add an audience brief explaining who needs the information and how a written and video version would differ.
Ask how editorial supervision, research ethics and production feedback work online. A useful project should show how evidence changed your original angle. Confirm access to editing software and whether field reporting is compulsory.
| Comparison point | Question to ask the university |
|---|---|
| Award title | Is the recognised title journalism, mass communication or a combined award? |
| Research versus production | What proportion of the work is research writing versus practical output? |
| Supervision | Who reviews reporting ethics and project drafts? |

A trial study week
Reserve time for reporting outside class hours. A workable schedule needs room for contacting sources, checking records and revising output, not only viewing lectures.
A document-based admission checklist
The current Chandigarh University prospectus controls the actual selection and application process. The steps below are a family verification workflow; they do not claim a specific selection sequence or application deadline.
- Save the exact programme title, online mode and intended intake from the university page.
- Match that title and session on UGC-DEB. Keep a copy of the record you checked.
- Confirm qualification, minimum aggregate, required subjects and any bridge work against your documents.
- Obtain a dated fee quote listing the programme variant, mandatory charges, payment schedule and refund terms.
- Confirm lessons, assessments, exam device and any physical practical or fieldwork arrangements.
- Apply through the official university route and retain the acknowledgement, payment receipt and academic admission confirmation.
Entrance / cutoff position: Online-course entrance acceptance and historical closing cutoffs are being verified. Campus cutoffs are not transferred to this degree.
